In a post last May I explained that May and December are the most stressful times of the school year for teachers. I failed to mention that August is the busiest month. It’s the kind of busy that makes you forget to eat, the kind of busy that makes you have lots of random thoughts but no consistent train of them. And that’s why I will not be creating a new post today. I would still be sitting here at 11 p.m. staring at the computer, trying to get past words like “the.”
You know, like, the…I mean, that…the thing…I…where am I?
See what I mean?
So here are some random thoughts–loose boxcars, if you will–to make up for my many lost days of blogging this week and last:
1. I believe in aliens, and I believe a whole race of them have landed on earth, and I believe they all work in my building.
2. My youngest sister is now officially a college freshman. This makes me happy and sad and excited and scared all at the same time.
3. I am returning to my beloved yoga class tonight for the first time since the end of June. I have missed it so.
4. Today, for the first time EVER, I am happy to see my, er, period. I haven’t had a normal cycle since the miscarriage, and I’m hoping this means things are finally back to normal.
As these are my most coherent thoughts of the moment, I’m afraid this is the end of what is quite possibly the most boring post EVER.
Not boring, but I’m in the same boat, you know, so coherent responses are few and far between.
Glad to hear of the resumption of bodily normalcy. I’ll keep my fingers crossed that you’re on the road again SOON!
